Bill Curran Reviews Ace Hotel Toronto in Canadian Architect

Bill Curran writes his first cover story reviewing the newly built Ace Hotel by Shim Sutcliffe Architects for the current issue of the national magazine - Canadian Architect!

As Bill iterates in his piece, the magnificent architecture of the Ace Hotel marks a new era for hotel development in Toronto, with its deep-rooted material and contextual design considerations amidst a sea of glassy offices and condos.

New Adaptive Bike Hub in Hamilton's Gage Park

Our office capped off Bike Month with a ride to Gage Park to celebrate the grand opening of the Everyone Rides Initiative new Adaptive Bike Hub.

We were more than happy to donate our services to this cause to help secure a building permit. This initiative will help remove barriers that prevent people from accessing bikes for transportation and fun!

You Heard Right: We’re now Curran Gacesa Slote Architects

We are pleased to announce that TCA is beginning a new era as CGS | Curran Gacesa Slote Architects. Our name may have changed, but the people behind it were here all along. Our newly appointed Principals, Stevan Gacesa and Kyle Slote have been a key part of the firm since 2007. Stevan and Kyle will continue working alongside Founding Principal Bill Curran as the firm’s leadership team to provide the high level of service clients expect from us.

Aside from the change of name, what does this new era for the firm really mean? We see this time as an opportunity to renew and strengthen who we are and how we work. We have some new staff, revitalized project approaches, and a lot of exciting ideas for architecture and the City of Hamilton. Over the coming months, we look forward to sharing more about the people, projects, and ideas that make Curran Gacesa Slote Architects a design firm you’ll want to get to know better.
